WPB elbow

WPB elbow is a kind of pipe used for high-pressure pipeline conversion. The proportion of all pipe fittings used in high-pressure piping system software is relatively large, about 80%. Generally speaking, the wall thickness of high-pressure elbow is thicker than that of ordinary elbow, or the high-pressure resistance of raw materials is higher than that of ordinary elbow. High pressure elbow is resistant to high pressure and is generally used for pipeline system software, such as crude oil transmission pipeline, liquefied petroleum gas pipeline, water pipeline and steam pipeline

WPB bends can be divided into three categories according to the type of parts: variable diameter high-pressure pipe fittings, whose axis is a straight line or a two-dimensional curve with very small curvature, and whose section shape is mostly circular or rectangular. Due to the large difference in the circumference of the pipe fittings or section, the axial needs to be supplemented during forming, category, the axis of the part is a two-dimensional or three-dimensional curve part, whose section shape is rectangular, polygonal or special-shaped, and the axial does not need to be supplemented during forming, category III is three-way pipe, Four way pipe or multi way high-pressure pipe fittings, of which the difficulty is greater, are asymmetric Y-type three-way high-pressure pipe fittings.

The characteristics of WPB elbow are as follows:

◆ During butt priming, in order to prevent the back of the bottom weld bead from being oxidized, the back also needs to be protected by gas

◆ In order to prevent the occurrence of welding blowholes, the welding parts must be cleaned up if there is rust and oil stain

◆ The shielding gas is argon with a purity of 99.. When the welding current is 50~50A, the argon flow of the high-pressure elbow is 8~0L/min; when the current is 50~250A, the argon flow is 2~5L/min

◆ The tungsten electrode of WPB elbow protrudes from the gas nozzle, preferably 4-5mm. It is 2-3mm in areas with poor shielding, such as fillet welding, and 5-6mm in areas with deep grooves. The distance from the nozzle to the work is generally not more than 5mm

◆ The welding arc length of WPB elbow is 2~4mm when welding ordinary steel, 3mm when welding stainless steel, and the protection effect is poor if the high-pressure elbow is too long

◆ WPB elbow is generally suitable for welding of thin plates less than 6mm, with beautiful weld formation and small welding deformation
